Umran Beba, who originally hails from Turkey, has been a longtime promoter of gender balance and has now seen herself given global roles and visibility. She has actively developed women in South Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Under her leadership the gender balance among executives was 54/ 46 male/ female. Her leadership style? "My leadership style is based on listening, respect, trust, and collaboration. I have to hear my team before setting a vision and key strategies. I care a lot about respect and trust, and I expect the same. Results will come with vision, focus, collaboration, and team participation." Sounds like a style much needed in management these days.
