Launched in March 2010 Womanity is a new concept by Thierry Mugler in collaboration with Clarins Fragrance Group in collaboration with Microsoft’s MSN launched as a major campaign. Womanity.com is a crowd-based media platform to exchange the thoughts and

ideas about being a woman.
The site has a form of a mosaic composed of the quotes, photos, stories and videos sent by the users who are all answering the main question: “What does womanity mean to you?”
The effect is interesting, the site is made with the great use of flash effects – but the question is, what is the purpose of the whole idea.

I found the interview with Joel Palix, President of Clarins Fragrance Group made by businessoffashion.com, where he tries to answer this question

BoF: First of all, what is Womanity?
JP: Today, Womanity is a new kind of interactive site, powered by Thierry Mugler, where users can express their point of view and discover interesting and fun content about what it means to be a woman nowadays. Tomorrow, Womanity will evolve as a brand at the crossroads of media and products, merging design and concepts by Thierry Mugler with user-generated content and ideas.
